Everything is getting cooler and less pleasurable. The sand is getting moist, the sun's rays are less warming to the sand. Some of the bugs are completely underground now and you will have to dig for them if you wish to eat. In other words, prey is scarce and there may tension rising between the clans for food.

We got 3 new members this week! Good job everyone and thank you to our newest members; nauticusvergil, amoraq, and leander! I am also changing my name to Bah, which some of you know me as on Translucence (see our affiliates below and click the banner for more info) Oh, and 10 more days until my birthday!

Inkosi trotted up to the edge of his territory, foraging for small bugs. He was never really good at it, but hunting for himself for once would do him justice. He scanned the horizon with his hansome brown eyes. It was peaceful- too peaceful for him. He wanted a clan and for that he needed members. But, there were only so many meerkats in these parts.

His paw landed on a large centepede and he crouched down to eat. He was hungry, sinse he had not eaten much since he claimed this land. He had been busy, looking out for danger, hunting, digging, all the things that he would not have to do if he had more members in his clan- besides himself.

He sat up from his meal and groaned as the bright sun shined in his eyes. He was beginning to feel a bit lonely after he had come here. Maybe he was the olny meerkat in these parts. Then a strong scent filled the air and he realized ther ewas another meerakt coming his way. He cursed to himself, 'And great timing too, I am upwind! Now he will smell me for sure.' His fur bristled and he barred his teeth ready for a fight.

Temari was walking through the land looking for a possible recruit but found none. He was just about to give up when another scent reached his nose. Temari strode up to the lone male alpha of the land, and spoke, "I am not wanting a fight, I come in peace" He saw that he looked like he was about to fight, so Temari did not walk too close. "May I ask your name?"

Temari found himself sitting in front of the alpha of this one-meerkat-clan. "I wish to be allies with you. When trouble brews, I can look to your clan and your clan can look to mine. If the two other clans, I'm pretty sure there are two others, try to fight your clan then I'll come to you with help, and vice versa." He flicked his tail slightly waiting for an answer. "Get it?" He added right before the answer of the not-lone-anymore-male in front of him.

Inkosi rolled his eyes as the male mentioned that he was not looking for a fight. How could any male waltz right into his territory and not expect some sort of fight? No, he was not about to give his name to some random stranger. Only to females he would do that. He got ready to pounce, but then he heard something about being allies.

The thought rolled in his mind and he finally made sense of it all. "Well, that would be conveineint for both of us. Then it is agreed, we are allies." he said, but then he mused it over for a moment and said, "But is there some sort of catch at all? Like sharing lands or females? Because if that is the case, I am out of this." He rocked back and forth and waited for an answer.

Temari waited impatiently for an answer from the ready-to-pounce male meerkat in front of him. His ears perked up and a smile was plastered to his face when the answer finally came. "Great" He smiled to the male kat that had just accepted his offer.

"A catch? No, no, no... I don't want your females or land... Just your trust." He twitched his tail, impatiently. After a little while of silence, Temari said "Well, I guess I will see you later.." and turned, leaving. His dark coat was getting hotter as the sun beat down hsrder. His blue mutated eyes flashed back to the male meerkat when a short ruffly came. His shadow was getting longer since the sun was moving, and he wanted to hurry and get out of here. 'Let's go, let's go' He told himself as he waited to see if the male kat had something to say to him.
